I recently ordered a Heffalump baby bath from Boots.com which I loved but they don't seem to sell a bath stand for it. I tried buying a standard stand from Mothercare but it didn't fit, as the shape of the bath seems 'un-universal size'. No-one else seems to sell them. Someone. Please help me? PLEASE!!!!

Why do you need a stand? Can't you put it on the floor?

I used to put mine across the kitchen sink so I could run the taps straight into it and empty it out without breaking my back.

You cannot underestimate how heavy they are with water in and your back is so frgile after giving birth.

But if you are dead set on the stand you could check kiddicare, or ebay?

Put the bath inside the normal bath, much easier to fill and empty, and its where you'll end up bathing baby eventually anyway. By 3rd time round I ditched baby bath altogether and just went straight to the real thing, much better than lugging heavy tub of water around.

Thanks for the advice. It's likely that I will have a c-section, the last one was traumatic and involved me needing morphine injections!!! Dh works long shifts quite frequently so there are times when I will need to bath the baby alone. I wanted a stand so big brother (5yr old) could 'help' me with his new sister and also I could bath baby at a good comfortable height. I can't put it in the kitchen sink, as the sink is too small. I'm scared of the amount of bending over I will have to do if I put the baby bath down in the bath. If I put it on the floor then I would have to leave it there until dh came home to empty the bath.(mmmmm) I tried Ebay and will try Kiddicare. Thank you again for your ideas - will keep trying.

Hi, I had a rough time after my C Section so I bought a cheap wheely kitchen trolley from Ikea and a cheap plastic shower attachment from Boots. I used to put the bath on that, next to the kitchen sink, then fil lit using the shower attachment and just tip the water into the sink afterwards - no bending down needed!

puddingz, where abouts are you? I have a mamas and papas changing table/bath that you could borrow for a few months (until my sister needs it in June) if you are interested. I used to fill it up with jugs in the early days and then leave it for dh to empty when he got home. in case you don't know what it is it is a changing table which you flip open to reveal a bath underneath (with storage beneath that).

Once again, thank you all for your help. Chicago mum, thanks for the offer. I know what you offering and was going to get one, but the bump alerady weighs aprox 8lbs (9 1/2 months into the pregenancy - I know!) and I decided that the changing unit wouldn't last that long once flumpalump had an appearance! So I bought a changing top dresser unit from Ebay. Thank you for your wonderful offer. I like the kitchen trolley idea though!! I could put flumpalump in the bath, next to the roast veg and serve dinner at the same time

Due to the tiny size of my bathroom I put the stand over the toilet and filled it with the shower attachment, pull the plug and drain strainght down into the loo. (remember to lift the lid first. I had a section too.

2 dining chairs facing each other in front of the fire was another favourite, kneeling height for DH.

Even if you get a stand you won't be able to lift it from the stand to drain it so you will have to work out something. I didn't bother bathing at all until I could bend over a bit, it was DH's job when he was home they don't need bathed everyday so leave it for when there is smeone to help. I found it difficult to bend over and get my arm around him so I got a bath support for baby which I got FIL to cut down to fit into the babybath which helped.
