Does anyone have a good recommendation for a face cream to help stop wind burn when ski-ing? Its already -18 where we are going in Jan!

Thanks

Try the nappy balm from www.akamuti.co.uk - fab stuff, even if you don't wear a nappy!

Make sure you use sunscreen. Even in Jan it is easy to get sunburn. Also buy a Ballaclava and some goggles. If the kids wear helmets make sue they have neck warmers to pull up over the bottom of their faces. I have a face mask and a helmet for really terrible days, although it has occured to me it might be more fun to stay indoors

fima I have awful skin but was advised by a doc at a ski resort a few years ago that many creams can become unstable (with strong sun and altitude). He advised to stick with suntan creams and after sun at night to moisturise. Seems to work for me. Enjoy the hol. Where are you off to? We're away in 2 weeks - yahooooooo.

this is the best stuff I've found - protects really well, pleasantly apple-scented and small enough to carry around for topups during the day - even cheaper duty free at the airport

I tend to use a tinted moisturiser first thing then lots of suncream just before we head out, usually an Ambre Solaire ski one, topped up with a Clinique moisturiser in the evening. Don't forget your lips too - I get through loads of Blistex Relief Cream. Sounds like it could be chilly, rather you than me (we had similar conditions in February this year). We also use fleecy neckwarmers which can reach over the mouth. You can now get skiboot-warming insoles in Tchibo btw !

Thanks all for advice - will look into all options and take a selection of all - we are off to Adelboden in Switzerland so don't want to be buying anything there if I can help it!

Will get some face masks and neck gators for the kids too - thanks

tbh you may find suncream etc may be cheaper there than here !! Not been there specifically but there are usually small branches of the main supermarket chains (Coop, Migros) and chemists, even in less well known resorts, who sell such stuff in the key brands surprisingly reasonably priced.
