Tchibo highchair or IKEA???

I've had a good look throught the archives and have narrowed my choice down to these two. I was planning on getting an all singing all dancing fold up Chicco type thing but you've all put me off!

Are the seat pads removable and washable on the Tchibo? Can you put a harness on it? Would it be Ok for a wriggly baby? DS is only 5 months and would be in it from 6 months ish. Not sure if he'd still be kicking as much as he does!

IKEA plastic one - does it matter not having a foot rest?

Other problem (?) is that my mum is buying it as a gift. So I've a budget of £50ish. So the IKEA one would seem a waste!

Buy the IKEA one and spend the surplus on yourself.

Lack of footrest not an issue-I love mine-brilliant piece of kit.

No washing seatpads with the IKEA one.Quick wipe with a cloth and you're done.

Which Ikea one, the white or blue one? We have the blue one at my mums and it is good as it folds up and very easy to clean but isn't the best looking highchair I have ever seen! Can't help on the tchibo one though I'm afraid.

We bought one of these yesterday and it is really good. Reduced from £60 to £39 in the sale and they do an insert for little ones. We had a prima pappa gigantic one but got sick of cleaning it! The straps unclip to go in the wash on this one which is really good.

The white one anchovies. They don't seem to do the blue folding one anymore

That M&Ps one looks good - may have to go and take a look.

We have two Tchibo ones for both dd's. You will be able to use the Tchibo one for longer, my dd's are 3 1/2 and 20 months and still use it. The only downside is that it doesnt come with a tray and agree that you will have to improvise with a harness.
