Hi All,

looking at buying one for my 18 month DS and probably over the internet. I'm having to change his clothes far to frequently after taking him out Grin so wondered if it was worth purchasing this type of item.

I have heard of Togz and Muddy Puddles and another scandinavian brand (which slips my mind at present Blush) but not sure which might be best.

With your recommendation can you also tell me about sizing as I would like anything I buy to last this and preferably next winter (though I wouldn't like it to look ridiculously big)

Thanks in advance

Muddy Puddles stuff is good (not cheap) and big. They make an all-in-one suit and it really is good (with straps to go over the wellies)

I like the muddy puddles ones best.

Our DD (age 2.5) has a bushbaby splashsuit, which seemed to work quite well. I've been thinking about replacing it as it's a bit small (I can't remember if we bought it for last winter or the spring previous Blush), but I'm currently looking to replace it, and wondering whether to get another unlined one or one with a fleece liner given the last few crappy winters

Muddy puddles come up huge, my 5yo can still fit 2-3 trousers. Highly recommend it. Puddleflex is more comfy, great material .Waterproof world sell the scandi brands which look pretty good and others on MN have recommended. I've had a togz all in one and it's fine but MP would get my vote as they're British, quality and fab customer service. I moved onto 2 piece suits when dc were toddlers as I found it more flexible for quick trip to the park etc.

I've just bought DS some waterproof salopettes from Decathlon for about £18. Some extensive testing went on the other day (face down in puddle) and they were definitely waterproof! Also have a double layer at the foot.

However they are padded so too warm over trousers at the moment - I have been changing him into them instead.

Ideal for winter / back of bike etc though.

Another vote for muddy puddles. The first suit I bought is still going strong six years later (different children and used regularly).
They are very waterproof - i've had a child sit down in a river and come out dry in an all-in-one!
