Hi, Sorry if this is the wrong place or if this subject has been covered a million times - am new to all this. I have a 10 month old DD and am trying to get organised for winter months including a trip abroad (Eastern Europe- v.cold!) Wondering what would work best, is good value yet looks good too in our Maclaren Quest pushchair to keep her warm and snug ? like the idea of sheepskin.. seen Wallaboo ones but not sure as review for two piece particularly says it's small and she's not a small girl !? Thanks for any thoughts / advice

'Kaiser Iglu' is the way to go if you want really warm. I don't think that wallaboo one looks very practical IMO. You might want to ask on the pushchair thread for opinions on where to buy/whether they fit Quests, but you'll need something very padded for Eastern Europe. I have buggy snuggles which are great and come in loads of colours but I don't think they're the warmest out there. I'm in Yorkshire, my dc have been fine in them and I think the new-style ones will fit a Quest better than the old-style ones. You might consider a fleece all in one for your dd as well if you go for a not-so-warm footmuff/cosytoes. JoJoMamanBebe do fab ones (lots on ebay too).

bundleme

These are good, I have the baby version and it is very snug for dd, she is growing out of it so will be getting the toddler version but this one seems even more snug. She might still need a coat to keep her arms and chest warm

No worries, hope you find something. I always wished I could have bought a girly buggysnuggle but had 2 boys and then b/g twins so it wasn't to be!

Thanks Debs... will investigate !! Am very taken however by Kaiser Iglu (fabby colours and liking idea unzip to blanket) somewhat smitten by sheepskin version but at £160 may be bit off the radar BUT cost of iglu seems really good value for what you get..though saying that it could be too hot for average UK winter use ??? Blimey it's a whole new world of stuff out there for first time mum me ! Sorry just one further question as I note both of you mention sizes of them - jeepers - hadn't even thought of that.. dd is 10 months old now but guess it's for colder weather when she'll be a year - assume that will be the bigger size - umm, now is that suitable for with quest - yikes - a whole new train of thoughts ! Any tips or suggestions greatly appreciated.

I second the kaiser iglu - I just got one this week and it's lush. At the mo I just put DD (10mo) in it without a coat on which is brilliant and shove on a coat when we get to the park. We've already had loads of comments about it (usually from adults wishing they could get in it Grin). I love the fact you can unzip the bottom so it could fit the toddler too (not that he'd ever let me pin him down!). It's in my p+t at the moment but it will defo fit in my maclaren xt too. I had a lovely mountain buggy one last year for DS which was cheaper but fell apart after a year of hard use.
