Other versions of Trip Trap highchair

I've seen a couple of wooden highchairs very similar to the Trip Trap on a babyselling website (not sure if I'm allowed to name sites). The Danchair is one, and East Coast Multi Function Highchair is another. They're both substantially cheaper than the Trip Trap but I wonder if they're as good...

Has anyone got either of these or anything similar? Are you pleased with them? Am I being blinded just by the famous name? It's for my ds who is now 14 weeks.

Incidentally, the Trip Trap is on offer on Kiddicare at the moment if anyone's interested (though still not as cheap as the other wooden 'imposters'.

Thanks
Katherine

A friend of mine has a trip trap & a cheaper one & her kids always squabble over who gets to sit in the trip trap. If fact often they both sit on it! I think its because the other one has arms at the side that make it hard to get down from.

Thanks very much for the replies. I think I shall get the Trip Trap as there doesn't seem to be a bad word to say about it!

If you do get the tripp trapp I wouldn't bother with the baby cushion thing - it always has to be cleaned and taking it on and off could be a bother. I did buy it, traced around it, and make a crude cushion for dd to sit on ( and then returned it). But after a few weeks I didn't bother as it was so so dirty!. I used to fold a towel up after that. Now she just sits on the chair with no padding. hth

Hana - thanks for the advice. I was considering it but then at £19 I probably wouldn't have bothered in the end anyway! The less washing the better as far as I'm concerned. These companies just add these luxurious extras to make us think we need things when we don't.
