is anyone using one?

my local library has free books we could lend had we had Kobe, but I can't find a really good comparison lisrt
esp in regrads to the quality of the screen and the strain it puts on your eyes

Don't have a Kobo sorry and don't know how they are on the eyes either. My kindle is very kind on my poor old eyes though, can you change the format of the books to kindle?

Hiya, I have just got a Kobo off ebay, the wifi one for £53. Keep an eye on Ebay auctions.
It hasn't arrived yet so I dunno how good it is.

Hi, an update on the arrival of my Kobo ereader!

I love it!

I have never used a Kindle or another ereader so don't know how it compares but I'm getting along swimmingly with the Kobo.

It comes with 100 classic books and I have downloaded some free books from the Kobo shop and bought Gok Wan's autobiography from there.
Also got books from other sites, like Waterstones and they transfer onto the ereader by connecting it to the laptop and drag and dropping the files. Easy as peas.
I have the wifi version so can connect and browse the shop whenever near a wifi connection. Was worried as it has no key board and isn't touch screen but it's fairly simple to type on the onscreen keyboard using the navigation key pad thing to search for books.

The screen is fab, easy on the eyes, it doesn't look like a screen, and you can increase or decrease the size of the text with a button press while reading.
It's very light and compact and lovely to read in bed.
Automatically bookmarks and turns itself off if you fall asleep!

I think, possibly compared to other ereaders, the page turns are a little slow, only about a second, but this is obviously quicker than turning an actual paper page!

I am in Bulgaria at the moment so I don't know about the library option, but I love everything else about it!
