good name for pyjamas...?

I have to come up with a new "label" for the pyjamas I make. Help! I have always called them "JimJams" which I love but I now want to expand my (presently very small) business to Australasia and that name has already been registered.
I only do childrens PJs and they are very classic. Who can think of a good name...it's keeping me awake at night...I've got 4 days to come up with something!

DD2 calls hers 'pajas' with a short first 'a'. Good luck with your venture, Tilba.

jammamia · 24/10/2003 23:06

Jarmas said with a strong Dorset accent, so more like Jaaaahhrmas!! He doesn't get it from me - honest!
Jarmas said in a "normal" voice is kind of ok though!

batey · 25/10/2003 06:13

We call ours "jimmies", from JIM-jams. We have "come on, get your jimmies on" in our house!!

Ghosty · 25/10/2003 06:15

We call them Jarmies in our house too but with a strong South African accent (due to my mum being a South African ... )

we call them PJ-DJ's for some reason I can no longer remember but probably just because it rhymes and we do silly dances in them.

coppertop · 25/10/2003 20:44

Jambo's for us!

Chinchilla · 25/10/2003 20:55

'Jarmies' here too - with a strong "R" to go with the other Devon RRRRRRR's we let slip!

littlemisssunshine · 29/10/2003 01:16

Tilba, do you have a site for selling your PJs? Could do with some decent ones

My dad always called them japarmas which always made us laugh.

Let us know what you decide on

eidsvold · 29/10/2003 07:42

I call them peejays, jimmyjams and jimmies... in a strange aussie/english accent mix......

susanmt · 29/10/2003 13:08

They are Jammies in our house too - definitely a scottish thing I thnik cos dh had never heard of it before I said it and he sounds really silly saying it in a Belfast accent!

JanHR · 29/10/2003 21:36

Jammies here as well (with a scottish accent)

Linnet · 29/10/2003 22:11

Jama's or jammies in our house in a scottish accent. Sometimes we say pj's.

I know a little girl who can't say pyjamas and says jipama's instead. Really cute even though she's actually 9 now but she's never mastered how to say it properly.

naughtynoonoo · 29/10/2003 22:28

PJ's or Peejays

OldieMum · 30/10/2003 21:24

Chez nous, they're py-jees.

elena2 · 30/10/2003 22:10

I like Hughsie's 'Japarmas'!

aloha · 30/10/2003 22:18

PJs? Jarmas? Sleepywear? Sleepwear? Jammies? Pyjamarama? The Pyjama Game? Classic Pyjamas? The Traditional Sleepwear Co? Classic Sleepwear - leaves you open to expansion into other sleepwear. Nightwear? Bed Clothes?
Have you done any research into what nicknames Pjs have in the local market?

Personally, I want a pair of brushed flannel striped pjs for my ds so would be interested in your product.

aloha · 30/10/2003 22:20

Jimmy's Jams? The English Sleepwear Co? Lullaby?
