Question about Britax carrycots and carrycots in general

Clueless question as I'm expecting number 1....in general, do you put a sheet on a carrycot? And, if so, does anyone know what sheets fit the Britax carrycot (as I'm a bit lost as there seems to be nowhere to tuck it in from the middle down)?

yes, use sheets.

no idea about britax though.. i just used mothercare crib sheets in my pram

Mine had a sort of built in matress that was washable - didn't use a sheet for that, but I did buy a separate mattress and sheet for when it was in the wash. carrycot/pram sheets are fairly loosley fitted so i guess any sheet that says it's for a pram/carry cot/ moses basket will do.

I used to put sheets on my carrycot, but it had a seperate mattress in it so I could tuck it in all the way around. You can buy sheets the right size for carrycots, they're called 'pram sheets' (mothercare sell them).

I used sheets for the 'ick factor', much easier to bung a sheet into the washing machine when a baby is sick on it, than it is to clean the mattress itself.

They are fairly standard sizes I think . We had cotton jersey stretch ones which should fit most mattresses of that type or buy a flat pram sheet and fold it under. Moses basket mattress may be a bit narrower but think we used the pram ones on both. Our first pram mattress was plastic covered so we used a flat sheet or muslin under the stretch one to try to stop ds sweating.
