Toy torches..............................do they exist?

Ds has an obsession with torches, he keeps taking DH, whitch goes down like a brick.

So we need a toy one, friendly to the eyes, so lazers are out of the question, he is 4.9 yrs.

Just buy a proper torch. A 4 year old should be sensible enough not to stare at it. I assume he doesn't lie on the floor and stare at lightbulbs all day? (Just noticed that my newborn does this so is probably blind already)

you can get torches in asda by little tykes for about £5. Also quite a few character ones in toys r us. DS has a lovely little tiger one that growls when you press the button..but then he is only 2 and has had it nearly a year..lol

I've seen character ones (Action Man, Barbie etc) in Woolworths and other toy shops.

Mincepiedermama · 07/12/2005 22:27

I agree about getting a proper torch. My kids love theirs. It's a good idea to get rechargable batteries though because they run down quickly in the hands of kids.

I've just bought my 5 year old dd one for Christmas from Bright Minds. It works viaadynamo,so if she wants a light she has to work for it.

snowfalls · 07/12/2005 22:28

Ds probably would stare at it more than I would like, so would rather have a toy one, no-where near an ASDA or Toys R Us

Asda have big chunky Little Tykes animal/ dinosaur ones that have a good handle and make cute (not too annoying) noises when switched on. £7.67.

MistletAero · 07/12/2005 22:29

snowfalls · 07/12/2005 22:29

No chance of getting someone to pick one up for you? It is little tykes so perhaps you can get it else where

Skrimble · 07/12/2005 22:37

Tada

snowfalls · 07/12/2005 22:38

Our nearest ASDA is about 30 miles away, will keep an eye out for it elsewhere though. Thanks
