Help me find a decent maternity dressing gown, please

I am nearly 33 weeks pregnant and I am in desperate need for a new dg.

My old non-pregnancy one is looking ridiculous - and I need one for when I go into hospital anyway.

I didn't need one with dd1 as I was pregnant in the summer.

I've looked at/in M&S, Mothercare, JoJo Maman Bebe and Blooming Marvellous and can't find anything.

I don't want to look like a huge old frump but I am desperate.

So hopefully someone can help - please. [pleading icon]

I've never had a maternity dressing gown! Just get a big one that you can really wrap around yourself and it will be fine. I'm 33wks and I have a large towelling one from the white company which is supercomfy and still does up around my "waist" (hahaha) fine....

get a super super soft one from m&s they are lovely, so warm and cuddly! and when the bubba is a bit older get them one too . Me and ds love our super soft dressing gowns. They are the best!

I tried one on in the White Company bit in Selfridges - I just looked the size of a house - not a flattering look. I think going for a thinner fabric would be best - towelling/fleece just make me look huge - O.K. I'm not small anyway.

Think I'll check out the supersoft ones - don't think I saw those - just 'granny' ones IYSWIM.

I got a lovely summerweight cotton kimono style one from Habitat, which was one size and comfortably covered the bump, and fine to use afterwards too (they do big toweling ones too).

It was summer, but maternity wards are usually kept so hot, you probably won't want an really heavy one in there in anycase. I haven't been in recently (Habitat that is), so it might be worth calling to check before going to look.

hotmama, I have some news for you....

you ARE the size of a house, it is nothing to do with the dressing gown!

But in 7 weeks you won't be. And a nice fluffy towelling dressing gown will be JUST the ticket when you are on your 4th feed of the night at 4am in February of the coldest winter of the year...

just a thought!

just looked on the m&s website and they haven't got them but I bought mine in store at lakeside a few weeks ago. They are in the per una range. Anyone that has one raves about them!
You will feel as snug as a bug in a rug!

I really think PPPH is right. Although my tip is not to chuck the old one out for a few months. You never know when baby will bring that middle of the night feed up all down your back and a spare one will come in handy for the next middle of the night feed.
