Has anybody ever used these and are they any good? Microwave Egg Boilers
Does anyone know where can I get them online, other than through eBay?
Or if these turn out to be rubbish, has anyone ever tried the Egg-Perfect Egg Timer .... is that any good?!
Thank you

I had 2 microwave egg boilers because a friend told me they were fab but could never perfect it in my microwave - they sit abandoned somewhere in my cupboard.

It tells you the times it needs to be used for but were just never accurate with my microwave.

I'd get the Egg Timer if it RANG as well so I didn't need to keep watching to see if colour had changed!

um, why does anyone need an egg boiler.

FFs boiling an egg only takes 4 mins anyway, and it's hardly as if it creates a lot of washing up.

Anyway, I've just checked for you, Lakeland DON'T sell them, so they can't be any good.

They do sell a microwave egg poacher tho'

I've got the egg timer thing and find it handy 'cause I lose track of time, just need to be nearby to keep checking. Don't let the egg boil dry and explode!

Easy · 06/12/2005 20:35

I use the timer on my cooker, but you could try this

Easy · 06/12/2005 20:35

as you know

Think either Kleeneeze or Betterware do them. But to be honest, I just crack eggs into a small tupperware, prick them, and bung in for 30 secs. Does the trick, just not egg shaped any more!

Thanks Everyone, so sounds like the microwave ones are a waste of time.

Easy, I DO know how to boil an egg, thank you - but we don't have anything with seconds on it in our kitchen, which means switching the tv on in the lounge, changing it to non-digital so we can then have the old analogue teletext on it which has seconds at the top of each page....and then have to keep running to the lounge to check whether the time is up or not.

ixel - do you mean you prick the yolk? Then they don't explode?
