My girls really want this but there is no way I am paying over the normal price!!! They can wait till after Xmas and have an extra present

sparklymieow · 05/12/2005 18:17

Someone brought it!!!! I hope they realised that the P&P is so high!! They are a newbie too....

puff · 05/12/2005 18:18

Is it TV advertising that's driving the demand for this? I haven't seen any, but wouldn't necessarily take any notice with two boys.

zippimistletoes · 05/12/2005 18:19

don't you think it's odd someone bought it exactly when we were discussing it on here?

DoesntChristmasDragOn · 05/12/2005 18:19

I've reported them for evading Ebay fees. I'm certain Ebay will be very unhappy about that seeing as it's their money

Hulababy · 05/12/2005 18:20

Still needs reporting though as she is avoiding fees.

sparklymieow · 05/12/2005 18:20

But if the winning buyer was on here they would have seen me say DON"T buy it as the P&P is too high.

DoesntChristmasDragOn · 05/12/2005 18:21

She's been reported Hula Several times by MNers by the look of it.

DoesntChristmasDragOn · 05/12/2005 18:21

Thing is, if it's something your child really wants and you have more money than sense, you'll buy it.

Hulababy · 05/12/2005 18:21

Excellent!

DoesntChristmasDragOn · 05/12/2005 18:22

I reported her for the Pegasus head and the Barbie thing with £29 postage. Greedy moo.

Hulababy · 05/12/2005 18:23

Out of curiousity, and in case there is a next time, how do you report on ebay?

Mum2OneAndBump · 05/12/2005 18:24

WoW what a fast growing thread!!

Sparkly -sorry bout earlier hormones got the better of me

I think i will leave the styling horse head, not that important & i will not be wasting my money on ebay after looking at the price the go for in the shops, god it's so wrong probably why everywhere is sold out because they are all on bloody ebay, makes me sooooo angry !

Thanks for the help & advice i will be looking for something else to buy now.

But there is some on Ebay for only (I say that loosely) 40pounds BIN.

Hulababy · 05/12/2005 18:25

Same seller has another 6 itens with excessive P&P - over £20 : She's here

sparklymieow · 05/12/2005 18:26

Not a prob. I know that there has been a big problem with people getting these. friends??

LIZS · 05/12/2005 18:26

Can you buy back your own stuff though. Do the complaints get taken seriously if the transaction is completed "satisfactorily". (Sorry non-ebayer here )

DoesntChristmasDragOn · 05/12/2005 18:26

Hula, you go to the Safety Centre via the link at the bottom of the screen and follow some links.

hana · 05/12/2005 18:26

maybe she had a mate buy it just to get rid of it??

foxinsocks · 05/12/2005 18:26

if you look at the article that enid posted in this link Mattel say they only produced it as an experimental toy - I don't think they thought it would take off as much as it has and because of that, there are limited supplies of the head (rather than something they can just go ahead and manufacture more of).

Hulababy · 05/12/2005 18:26

Thanks

LIZS · 05/12/2005 18:27

Yeah, but they must have put megabucks into advertising it - why do that if you aren't out to create demand ?!

followthestarlover · 05/12/2005 18:27

yeah i reported all her items

DoesntChristmasDragOn · 05/12/2005 18:27

How much were they new?

I think Ebay do take it seriously - particularly if they've lost out on money. DH bought some fake Lost DVDs BIN and was told by Ebay the auction had been pulled and he didn't need to complete the transaction as the listing breeched the rules. He didn't care and got them anyway.

foxinsocks · 05/12/2005 18:28

I must admit, I had never seen it on TV but I did see it in the shops (a few months ago) and dd was strangely drawn to the garish purple colour! (and it's a horse, what more could a little girl ask for - purple, horse, play make-up!)
