There is going to be an 18 month gap between my two and I am starting to think about whether I will need a double buggy. Please tell me what you would recommend? I already have a 3 wheeler which has a carrycot etc but I don't think my ds will want to be deposed and put onto a buggy board at 18 months! Any advice would be very gratefully received. Apologies for starting yet another double buggy thread!!!

I love mine. Def. recommend the sleeping bag , as the bottom bit stays on all the time and it's lovely and soft for the baby. I also wouldn't go out without the sun cover - but then I live in NZ. Make sure you read the instruction book carefully, as I spent weeks trying to work out how the swivel wheel could be fixed and unfixed only to find its really well explained in the instruction book. Mine is 9 months old now and still looks brand new. Most importantly - which colour are you getting?

Thanks Bobthebaby
Think we will go for black or navy. Was considering the fleeces but may well go for the snugglebags on your recommendation. Will definitely get the rain cover and will see what our summer is like re the the sun cover. Its good to hear reports, good and bad. The only niggles I have been told are the price and also that they are heavier than some doubles. However, its not that heavy and isn't too wide either so I am pretty much sold on the idea. There is a massive waiting list right now for them so had better get a move on and make some decisions!

Just to let you know, the Kiwi explorer, now the E3 explorer is on sale at Tiny Tinker in Haywards Heath, West Sussex for £420! I am looking to buy a double buggy and saw it there- it is pretty amazing but not sure I can justify spending £420 when I may not use it very long ( have a chicco single buggy already). I have looked at the Combi twin, the Gordon's tandem and M& P's twin aria oh yes and the Maclaren twin traveller. any suggestions or recommendations- especially the combi twin.

Thanks

I had a tandem when DS1 was born - complete nightmare! Hardly used it as it was so heavy and cumbersome to steer. Rather than use the b**y thing I started sticking DS1 in a sling and using a buggy for DD1.

DS1 was born 21 months when DD2 arrived - so decided to try the "side-by-side". I got the Maclaren Twin and it was fantastic. It was cosy and snug for DD2 and lay flat. It was easy to steer and went through all doorways. I loved that pushchair and was sad when DS1 started walking everywhere

Kept in excellent condition as well and is now being used by my friend who had twins in September

Hi all, I'm new to Mumsnet and I just wondered on anyones opinion on the Phil&Teds Explorer. DH and I went to look at one yesterday and to my suprise was really impressed with it, now I would like to hear off anyone who has used one.
I have a DS who will be 17 months old when my 3rd D? is born. I hate the thought of having to use a double pushchair but DS is too young to walk everywhere. Please can anyone help??? Thankyou!

Have you read the rest of this thread Debii? There are also loads of E3 threads in the Archive.
