Hi girls, I've got a quick question and thought I'd ask MN!

We've got an old boiler (not a combi) and the last 6 years we've been paying a fixed fee to get the parts and labour covered should it break down. The company we use is called FEP and I wondered if anyone knew of any other companies that offer boiler care? The guy from FEP is due to come out this Friday and for a years cover it's £144 which is too much for me before Xmas.

Does anyone out there have cheaper cover>thanks!

We pay £136 to cover a fairly new Vaillant but for an old boiler I think you've got a good deal and if you don't renew you might have trouble getting anyone to start a new policy with you...?

We've got cover with Domestic and General for our relatively new boiler and the central heating system and it's £13.25 a month. This also includes a yearly maintenance visit, 24 hour call out and all parts and labour.

It's the peace of mind value that counts the most and the fact that if you did have a problem the call out charge alone would probably be around £100.

thanks, I think we've got not a bad deal after all....we'll stick with FEP!
