Are stainless steel fridges a nightmare to keep clean?

Still dithering about buying a new side by side fridge freezer, and had previously discounted stainless steel ones as being too hard to keep from looking grubby. However they look so fantastic in the shops I was wondering what you all thought.

We have a stainless steel range and microwave which I must admit are pretty hard to keep clean -they tend to show up smears and smugs. Our fridge is a silver sort of colour and is much easier to wipe over with a damp cloth. I think it depends on whether you will really keep on top of it. With DS and DD is pretty hard keeping sticky fingers off. A friend did mention those special cloths but I haven't got round to buying any yet, do use oil however.
