pedal car with parent handle

Ds is small and lazy (!) but loves driving toy cars. I'd love to get him a pedal car for christmas with a parent handle as otherwise we'd just stay outside our front door and never go anywhere. Any suggestions as to a good one to get? Would love something cute to look at but can't afford £200 plus! Very grateful for suggestion as to what to buy or even what not to buy. Thanks!

There's Tot cars but they still look a little pricey.

Most of the cars with handles seem to be sit on rather than pedal power. Hope you find something!

I know Little Tikes do a pedal bike with a parent handle, their car with the parent handle doesn't have pedals though.

Lovely, lovely cars Bobsmum, but he's only two and I know he'd never go anywhere in one of those - just sit there twirling the steering wheel in ecstasy!! Thanks though, the site is brilliant.
Kayleigh, he loves the little Tikes, but I hoped to encourage him to do a bit of exercise too!

I doubt that you will find a pedal bike with a parent handle however, you may find one that has a tow-hook at the front - at least this was you can pull him along rather than push him. We used to do this with ds when he first had a pedal tractor and couldn't reach the pedals. Toysrus have a few here - not sure if they have tow-hooks though.

Saw on the Sp Needs thread that you too are a Radio Flyer fan, they do some great ride-ons with handles, (fire engine, racing car)less than £100 but again, no pedals.
I am sure that I have seen a car a bit like the Little Tikes ones which have pedals which can be de-activated for pushing.

I suppose they are afraid that their little feet will get mangled if you try to push while they are pedalling....but if that's the case how does the Radio Flyer trike work? Maybe I should email them and suggest tehy make one just for me with deactivatable pedals!
