Best Xmas crackers, anyone? LIDL? Asda? Charity ones? Make-your-own???

I'm planning a trip to LIDL this AM to see if their really cheap ones are passable; otherwise have seen some cheap ones at Asda, including a pack in which each person gets a wind-up reindeer, and then you race them. Tesco do a similar pack with a variety of wind-up creatures - penguin, etc. Asda - and others - do make-your-own packs.
I've also ordered some lovely not-at-all-cheap ones from the RSPCA, which have resin models of British wildlife in them - squirrel, otter, hedgehog, etc.
So what are you all getting?

LIDL crackers not looking particularly good value, even given dd's taste for the tacky. Am tempted to get her making her own, then she could put her own tat in.

Bought some (cheap) Primark ones last year and they were great.

I also need some cheap ones from somewhere, no Lidl round here though. I want to donate some to a charity Xmas lunch so need to buy quite a lot so cheap would be good as long as they're not too vile. Hat and "joke" plus the crack the most important thing really.

The Works do make your won 6 for £1.49 a little sweetie/toy in each & they'd be great.
