Does anyone have a reccommendation for one of these.
We need one to use with our dd when we go to grandparents etc etc.

Have only seen the baby dan travel to go gate.

We had the babydan one and it seemed to me at the time to be the only one you could open to get through. Most of them had to be removed to go up the stairs, but this one you pull the lever and slip through the side before putting the lever back, so saves loads of hassle IMHO. My parents are elderly so they couldn't clamber over the top like the rest of us can so we thought this was the best option. Also, it packs up pretty small and easily. Hope that helps.

Agree about the babydan, very easy to use and very solid.

thanks, think I will go with the babydan one then.

I've got that one and you do have to remove it to walk through but once it fits the gap it is a breeze to put back up.

fairydust · 28/11/2005 17:36

argos we've got the babyden one from argos its' so simple to use highly recomend.

hockeymum · 29/11/2005 12:28

Yes Caramelli, that's the one, but I also have just looked in the Mothercare catalogue and they have an identical looking one called Easyfit or something, will go and look the price up now:-

hockeymum · 29/11/2005 12:31

Yes, its on p 226 of their catalogue and called "Easy Fix Safety Gate to Go" and is £24.99. Now I look at it I can't remember whether we have that one or the Baby Dan one but they look identical. They say they don't open when fitted but they have a lever on them which other ones dont which means you can pull that and squuezt through before putting it back again, much easier than the non-moveable ones in my experience. Hope that helps. Sorry I can't remember exactly which one we have it's at my mums house and they are on holiday so I can't check.
