Any experiences - my friend is pg and is almost 6ft. I've given her a loan of my buggy - which was a pia as the brake thingy was right in the way of striding.

Little Nippers

Of course she must realise she is a giant and may have to adapt somewhat, but I found the Little Nipper to be great and I'm 5 foot eight

Our Mothercare Urban Detour 3 wheeler is a great height and easy on the back (I am 5ft 9") although it is not great for shopping etc as is bulky and not too portable, we use it for walks mainly. We use a Maclaren Quest for shopping etc which isn't too good for long periods tbh.
We have a Phil and Teds E3 on order in preparation for no. 2's arrival and that was a good height.

SIL had a Jane 4 wheeler which didn't have that bar across the back similar to this one

There isn't much choice of lightweight buggies for tall people, I'm only 5'7" (with a very long stride) and I still can't find one that's right. If she wants to get a 3-wheeler there are a few that she could try out. I have an Urban Detour which I love and I think it would be suitable for someone much taller than me, but it's heavy to lift into the car and it's still huge when folded. The Mountain Buggy can have a handlebar extension fitted for tall people, but it's quite an expensive buggy. The handlebar on the Jane Powertrack 360 extends up quite high, and the pushchair is reasonably lightweight (about 8kg I think), the Jane can also be a travel system if you use a Jane car seat.

HTH

the best light weight buggy i think is the mamas and papas pulse. brilliant for tall people. However don't really know how suitable this would be for a newborn!

new mountain buggys have adjustable handlebars. i'm 1.73 m (5ft7ish i think), & the top setting is much too high for me (but i still use it, much nicer to push). i found our old chicco lightweight stroller really uncomfortable to push, spent the wholetime hunching. not a good look.

I use the Jane Powertrack handle on its middle option and I'm 5'9ish. It goes up a bit higher but I haven't needed it. DH 6'0ish and also uses on middle option. Fantastic pram. I've also got a Maclaren quest (which I don't like very much) and I find that quite low but I think the Techno XT and Classic have extending handles.

I'm almost 6 foot and get on well with both my mamas and papas 3 in 1 MPX chassis pram (handle goes v high) and the maclaren quest.

I have just bought a Stokke Xplory which I absolutely love (I am 5'10") - the handle is really adjustable, it's incredibly light to push and fantastically manoueverable (I easily pushed it round the supermarket aisles earlier today with one hand, holding the shopping basket in the other). Also it has cable brakes (like a bike) which means that there is no bar to kick.

I did have a Mamas and Papas Pramette which was great when dd2 was very little, but it is only forward facing in pushchair mode, and she is much happier now she can face me.

My Maclaren Techno XT has extendable handles. It's brill.
