E3 users- did your dc fit underneath for more than 12 weeks?

Ds 2 is getting squished and I am a bit concerned! He is only 12 weeks and will only fit underneath for another 2-3 at the most!!

What can I do? Would it be a big nono to put ds 2 in the front seat slightly lowered and ds1 in the back???

HElp!!

are you still using the cocoon?? dd3 still fits underneath at 8months but she is dinky. if yur ds can support his own head well then you can put him in the back seat.

I would remove the cocoon and use a blanket for another 4 weeks and then go with the double seat option. That's what we have done and ds2 is fine . There are a few threads from last year on the subject and I think quite a few people did this.

Never used the cocoon..just a snowsuit! His little legs are starting to come out over the bit underneath ds 2's seat! His head touches the top bit almost too!!

I must have huge kids!! (they are both v long) Ds 2 was just under 10lbs at birth!

off to do a search for previous threads!

I had same problem - didn't make it past about 3 months. I put older child in back and baby in front for a while - you're not supposed to do this, I think because it unbalances the whole thing and risk of tipping. But if you are aware of the risk of tipping - then it shouldn't happen.

DD still okay (and in her cocoon as well) but she is only 8 weeks.

yes..tipping issue was my main concern! I am wondering if the pannier bags might help that...anyone know??

Pannier Bags certainly make it heavier up kerbs when full of shopping! I took my dd and ds2 out yesterday in my E3 and we had the bags on then and had light shopping in them. dd got out at school when I was picking up ds1 and the buggy didn't tip, but I did have the brakes on. HTH
