Dh rarely wears it but did have some stuff by Clinique. Chemistry I think it was and I really liked that. I personally like all Clinique stuff and wear all the women's perfumes too as I never seem to find anyone else wearing them. Don't want to be common!

Penhaligons - lovely stuff for women and men.

NotQuiteCockney · 13/11/2005 22:17

I like Penhaligons, too. I was smelling Occitaine stuff the other day, though, and their vetvyer type one seemed lovely.

How was your nightmare journey, moondog?

poppyseed · 13/11/2005 22:19

Another vote here for Chemistry by Clinique. Did stop making it but saw it back on the shelves the other day .

dramaqueen72 · 13/11/2005 23:01

just got dh the whole 'mens' l'oocitane stuff, its so lovely and 'different' and the smell just gets better after awhile on. its edible. and hes very fussy; no main stream/high street stuff allowed, even if some of it smells nice!

moondog · 14/11/2005 11:31

Thank you all-much appreciated!
Amveering towards Penhaligons and L'Occitane atm,as long as I can shake off the kids for a day of shopping.

It was terrible NQC! Three flights (dh with me to Istanbul)and thought it was going fine until 30 mins from Manchester when dd fell asleep.. (12:30 Turkish time-night)
Trying to rouse her as we landed was awful then ds started....
Hard to hear the roar of the engines above the noise.
As I came to the door the bloke brightly announced that my pushchair would be on the carousel at which I turned, sat down again and told him that it would have to be brought to me as promised in Frankfurt.

Surprise, surprise it was at the door in 5 mins.

Had to walk for ages with dd(5) in the chair and ds perched precariously on handlebars.
Anyway, once out (more tantrums) taxi driver didn't turn up for another hour as there had been a fatal accident on the M56.

Was home by 1:30 am.

Grim I tell ya,grim

(And I'm now elbow deep in correspondence to Turkish Air concerning my E3 that they bloody wrecked last time I came home and still haven't coughed up for!!)

My vote is for Penhaligon's, L'Occitane and Crabtree & Evelyn.

Frenchgirl · 14/11/2005 11:52

Dh who is very fussy wears L'eau des 4 voleurs by L'Occitane, it's really nice. Don't know if you can find Dyptique there but 'Le Vinaigre de toilette' is lovely

moondog · 15/11/2005 17:03

Which Penhaligons scents do you ladies like (for blokes?) Just been on the website-looks like a small but special range.

[joke]

zippitippitoes · 15/11/2005 19:22

sadly dp won't wear aftershave i like it if it's not the boys night on the pull stuff

Carlk · 16/11/2005 06:24

moodog, 212 is my favorite aftershave.
I bought the last one in france but it it available here in all good perfume shops

snafu · 16/11/2005 07:23

Penhaligons range is lovely...or there's always Floris. I bought my (rather stylish and picky) brother some Floris JF last year and he has been very pleased with it. It's very traditional English but with a twist, iykwim...
