Excellent !

ladymuck · 06/11/2005 19:30

I'm assuming that by asking the question you have girls? Wouldn't last more than months if you had boys . Seems a bit overpriced really.

they look excellent. i would be wary of the material they are made of. if cloth, may be very difficult to keep looking clean.
gltc stuff tends to be very good quality.

getting the numbers in the right order would stress me out too much

princesspeahead · 06/11/2005 19:55

I've got the same thing without the numbers which we use to store summer and winter hats, gloves etc.

TBH I've never much liked it. The wood is a bit plasticy looking. The nylon pockets are quite deep but narrow and don't fit much in, and when you do have a load of stuff in there it is a hassle trying to find something at the bottom. And the fact that it is just one low row actually makes it a crappy use of space - takes up a load of floor but gives not much storage in return. That is why it is in our boot room now - doubles as a bench for sitting down to peel your boots off.
And it isn't exactly cheap either!
Sorry to be so negative.

katzguk · 06/11/2005 20:00

what about this one very simlar but half the prcie

storage

ladymuck · 06/11/2005 20:11

The £119 in GLTC is just the unit - the drawers are arounf £15 each, so the Argos option is about a sixth of the price.

LRKIDS · 06/11/2005 20:26

I've got a very similar argos one (different set) but it looks like its prob the same make as the one in the argos link. I love it and find that its very well made and sturdy hth

Wow how great katzguk, I had also clocked the GLTC storage and wished for a cheaper alternative. uncomplicated enjoyment of thread.

katzguk · 06/11/2005 20:33

you could check what size the drawers are and see if the GLTC ones fit the argos one would still be cheaper

How about a unit with doors big enough to hide the plastic crates in? We have an old wardrobe which dh fitted with shelving to fit large crates in our playroom. Doesn't have to be a tall unit like a wardrobe if you don't want the height, could be something more sideboard-y.

cardQUEENcod · 06/11/2005 20:58

anyway youll find as they get older theyll use smaller toys wont you/
