Or do ELC have one- they are doing 20% offer at teh moment!

I like your half price one.

soapbox · 06/11/2005 18:11

Nice boys colour is sludge green. They could use it as an army base once he's grown out of his dolly phase!

aloha · 06/11/2005 18:14

I like that half-price one! Hmmmm... is 10month really too young for a dolls house?

I love the blue one best though.

Lucycat · 06/11/2005 18:17

My dd's have the ELC wooden one (complete with basement etc) but they also have one like this that they actually prefer! I think they like the ringing doorbell and dog barking noise!!

soapbox · 06/11/2005 18:19

Could you pick the playmobil one up cheap on ebay - think that would have much longer play life than the wooden ones.

Neither my DD or DS played with theirs at all! A few token shift around of furniture and that was it really!!

studio (a small catologue) had one like toys r us. same price I think, but included all the furniture. If you are interested I'll look it up, still have the catalogue upstairs somewhere

bluebear · 06/11/2005 18:37

we just bought the toysrus half price on for ds's christmas and it looks great - has all the furniture and dolls too. Saw lots of them at over £60 plus furniture!

He wants a pink one though (it is sort of wood coloured MDF) so I guess I better get a paintbrush out before Xmas.

marne · 06/11/2005 18:37

I think woolworths has the little people house on offer, dd has one and she loves it.

bluebear · 06/11/2005 18:40

One of my friends recommended Showells (website is dollshousesinlondon.co.uk.
They have a shop at 40 pounds and a painted house at 40 pounds but furniture etc is extra.

cardQUEENcod · 06/11/2005 18:59

Mine really really really wanted a dolls house last year and so I got them one.

They never play with the bloody thing.

tamum · 06/11/2005 19:09

I remember picking ds up from nursery and the teacher tol me that he and his little mate Robbie had been playing for ages with the dolls house. Ahhhhh I thought. Yes, she said, they've been collecting all the wee dolls, putting them up on the roof and then shaking it until they fall off, laughing uproariously and starting again. So I would get something sturdy

cardQUEENcod · 06/11/2005 19:12

Try here here these come with all the furniture - cheap and cheerful but we got one for ds2 (3) and dd2 (4) last Christmas and it's still going strong. They come even cheaper on Ebay, and all you need to buy are the people, or Playmobil folk will do if you already have them..

gingerbear · 06/11/2005 22:15

If you put on a mac, wig and dark glasses, go into Netto and grab a bargain house, complete with family of 4 wooden dolls and furniture, similar to the A frame house in your second post, for the princely sum of £15

Furball · 06/11/2005 22:19

Argos?

edam · 06/11/2005 22:25

Ha! You think you've got problems. My mother is a dolls-house addict and I am contemplating having to fork out £350 on a 12-scale porcelain dinner service for a major birthday coming up shortly...
