Need a lightweight stroller - recommendations?

I need one anyway for our summer hols next yr - one that can get chucked on the plane. Looking to get one now though as I've seriously hurt my back and I think that hoiking the buggy in out of the boot for the school run twice a day is not helping. I've got a Silver Cross Wayfarer which I love - it's fabbo to push and lovely and comfy for ds3 but I need to get this lightweight one now to help my back recover.

I don't really want to spend much though as it will be 6,000th buggy (not really ).

What do you recommend?

What about this ? Scroll down to the bottom of the page and there is an accessory pack with a hood and raincover. In total less than your £50 budget.

I have had 3 maclarens now and tbh I'm not terribly impressed with the brakes on them. Otherwise they are good. The Mothercare one that misdee linked to is good - wish I'd got that instead of my Techno Classic now, I keep seeing lots of people with them too!

Another vote for Maclaren volo..... my all time favourite light weight buggy EVER!

its simple, and VERY light, VERY easy to push! nice comfy high handels! folds up tiny!

Can I go wrong with the maclaren triumph starlover posted? £48.99 including rain cover etc.

Went to toysrus and mothercare this morning and all maclarens are dearer.

Decided I'll sell my double buggy, highchair and graco 2-in-1 pushchair to cover the cost!!

i've had a maclaren triumph, brought it for the holidays and it was great, lightweight, has a strap fpr carrying so that you can sling it over your shoulder at the airport etc, lies back enough for an older toddler to have a sleep,(i would say from about a year old) its got the hood and raincover and at the kddicare price seems like a bargain, i think i paid about £70 -£80 for mine from mothercare. (sold it on ebay after the holiday for £50)

you've sold it vicki!

i would suggest the mamas and papas pulse, lies down perfectly for sleeping, very comfortable... good suspension perfect for bumpy walks, excellent

Thanks for all your replies. Just ordered the Maclaren Triumph at 48.99 and free delivery!

Now just need to get my act together to sell my old ones! A job for the weekend!

but the m&p pulse although a great buggy is £80 and so for £50 for a lightweight buggy is good! (hey i have had most of the buggies avaliable and so now just like to look for other people and stop buying them myself! sad i know )
