Advice needed! Where to sell gorgeous children's clothes?

I have a lot of really, really lovely boys and girls outfits and shoes that I'd like to sell on mostly GAP, Hannah Andersson (from USA), Boden, Rachel Riley, Pediped and the like. What is the best way to sell this stuff? I've never sold on E-bay before. I saw the forum on here but I'm not sure it's going to work for me. Should I take a table at a car boot sale? Have done NCT before but really I do better with gear at those than with clothes plus they take a 30% commission... Can I ask for some advice from anyone who has done well selling on really lightly-used, good-quality clothing?

i would put them on ebay

carbooters in general seem to be out for just cheap as chips stuff and won't want to pay a reasonable price

you should do well on ebay

thanks for the advice. do you think it's worth trying to put a little website together on ebay? I don't know how this is done, but as I have quite a lot it seems worth it... am thinking of putting the summer stuff on now and then the winter stuff on in Oct, etc...

also, anyone out there have advice on what wording works best in the Ebay "headline"? The brand? gender? size? (assuming putting it all on would be too long/not show up anyway)

Ebay. Boden goes like wildfire.

ebay or local website like families or nappyvalley.co.uk

title-wise i would make sure you get the brand and the size in
also, if you've got something like their baggies, then put baggies as well as just trousers iyswim

so "Mini Boden check baggies trousers 4-5" or something like that

WhoMovedMyCheeseToast · 06/04/2011 22:26

Thanks, everyone! I don't actually know what baggies are :) I am in NW london, so the nappyvalley website might be great -- never heard of it and will check it out. looked at gumtree, but didn't look great for clothes TBH.

Another question: Will anyone have heard of US brands like Hannah Andersson, LL Bean, Lands End, Gymboree (they do clothes), Old Navy, Talbots Kids, Pottery Barn Kids, etc.? Worth putting in title?

Quite often, anyone here who knows those brand names will have a saved search on ebay, so when the name comes up they will get an email about it.

pay mn subs and sell via mn.
I sell my desinger & nice stuff this way and via ebay as well.

I'd definately suggest ebay.

I've been to a lot of car boot sales, and hosted a fair few as well, and people hate paying anything other than the bare minimum. You would definately lose out.

If you go for ebay, at least the people looking at your items will know what they are, and their worth. Just make sure you take some good photos.
