Kidizoom camera (or similar) OR a cheap "grownup" camera?

Ds2 is 4 soon, and absolutely loves taking photos. Any chance he has, with my mobile, our camera etc he's there like a shot. Tbh, he's not too badGrin

Our dilemma is do we go for an indestructable(sp) one designed for children, or a cheapy grown up one?

Going out in a bit, so will check back later.

Tia

Grownup camera - ds has used mine since he was 3, and the only times cameras have broken in this house is dh dropping them. DS takes fab photos, esp of his teen cousins who won't have their photo taken otherwise

Thanks for the advice. Grown up one seems the way to goSmile

A friend had the VTech children' cameras for her girls and they didn't last 5 minutes. We have had a cheapish Fuji camera that has lasted over a year so far,

DD got a proper camera for her 4th birthday - a Canon Powershot. It was pretty chunky and in auto mode very easy to use. She was able to use it very well very very quickly. Took decent photos and ones that weren't all power quality, etc. DD turns 9y next week and the camera is still going strong.

Agree with cheap grown up camera, i find the vtech kids one hard to use myself & DS1 (4) takes rubbish blurry pics with it. He takes good ones with my ex-digital camera or with my iphone.
