Loola, Pliko or other compact travel system

I'm taking my two year old on holiday at the start of next year and I'm wanting to get her a new buggy. I already have a mamas and papas 3 in 1 and a bebe confort (everest) three wheel but neither of these are any good to take on a plane as they just don't fold down very well and I also wouldn't trust airport baggage handlers with my good pram. In the past we have used a basic £40 pushchair from toys-r-us but everytime I use it it drives me up the wall (literally some times as the wheels are a bit wonkey). What I'd really like is a pram that folds down neatly and easily also that I could use as a travel system with any future babies. It would also need to have some suspension to the wheels and be nice to push, last time we were away I nearly ended up with rsi in my wrists after walking down bumpy Spanish streets. I also think I have been spoiled by my other two prams that are both amazing smooth to push. I was hoping someone who has had any of these prams or others (have seen the silver cross compact advertised as well recently not heard much about it through) would have an opinion on how easy they were to take on planes compared to how easy they are to steer and push. Another feture I'd like would be a decent sized seat unit as it is for a toddler and she woud need to be able to sleep comfortably in it.

Pliko fan here !

yes, good spacious seat, leg rest, sturdy.

Folds easily & stands alone which is invaluable when hunting for lost tickets at boarding !

That's sounds good, what sort of size is the shopping basket on it, I tend to end up bringing more back from holiday than going and the pram usually end up a bit top heavy when you out bags on it.

enough to stuff a well packed Mamas & Papas rucksac & a couple of 500ml bottles of evian. We usually have a couple of small food bags dangling on the handles too !

In fact, we managed to save ourselves some cash as we were over the baggage allowance & they DIDN'T notice how well packed the pliko was. We got charged £7 & it could easily have been £15+

We also have a sheepskin on ours which makes it more comfortable. I'd quite like a ride in it !

Filling the pram with extra stuff seemed like a good idea last time except when the secutrity people in Athens airport decided we had to fold the pram up and put it through the xray machine. Had to remove absoultly everthing including the baby before we could get through. then set everthing back up again, too bad if we had been in hurry to board.

This might be a silly question but shows the last time I was in a pram shop, do the current plikos still fit car seats from two or three years ago. The primo viagio bases look the same as the one I have and this would save me having to buy a new carseat. (it woudn't match though, which seemed so very important when I bough the original pram, even through I couldn't get the mathing bag and the carseat is never on at he same time as the seat unit so you don't see them together, but now just seems like extra money I can spend on something else. That and I'd have to store it somewhere till it was needed)

yes, we had to remove everything for the x-ray machine - at least we didn't have to pay excess baggage though

As far as I know they should still fit - I think they are called g-matic ? I can't imagine they'd change them because people might want new cars seats on older buggies.
