whats the best value present/toy they have, that they return to time and time again.
my ds is a bit of a wrecker, so i dont want to buy stuff thats a bit fragile as he'll definitely break it!
would he just like big digger/tractor/fireengine 's?
or one of thoose talking books by leappad?
he does like books and stories.

frannykenstein - our shoelace is a vacuum cleaner, and he simply can't play his battery powered keyboard without using his shoelace to plug into his amplifier.

My ds is 2yrs and 4 months and his favourite toys are duplo, lots of sets in a big basket (first started collecting when dd (nearly 11) was a year old, added to for ds1, so we do have quite a lot. Books about tractors (usbourne puzzle book, he knows the words off by heart), and small metal cars and tractors, and agree with suzy, anything I'm trying to do he can do better ,

Megablocks. ?Megablox? The huge size lego-type stuff. Once in a while my kids rediscover it & spend a morning building.... can keep all 3 entertained (ages 16m-almost 6y).
