Have been looking at the hug-a-bub sling online, and it looks relly comfy for me and dd. Anyone got one? Would you recommend it? Anything you don't like about it? Does it wash well?

Thanks!!

i have a MOBY wrpa which is simi9lar i think to the hug a bub, and its pretty simple to use once you get the hang of tying it. its is really comfty, and mine washes well. its about half the price of a hug a bub as well.

I havent got one, but did look quite closely at them at the baby show this weekend. decided against it, as it seemed quite complicated to put on, and take off, unadjustable for the baby part and quite flimsy/unsuportive up close.
but maybe that me, and I havent had one so....am no help whatsoever! but thought I'd tell you anyhow

Kiwifruit, I had one and mine both loved it, but only when they were really tiny.

I bought one from a lady on another parenting site but I can't get the hang of it and DS goes bonkers when I try and put him in it! I think I am just not a sling person, though I do want to be.
CAT me if you would like to buy it - it's in excellent condition and has an instruction video!

Bloss, what would you recommend for me to try with my DS? He is 1 year old and I've no idea what he weighs - 20 something pounds! I know I can't carry him in my arms for long.
I mainly use the buggy, but would like a sling for things like the school run and quick trips to the shop etc.
I used to have a Wilkinet, which was fab when he was tiny, but I've sold it now. I couldn't manage a ring sling at all. I do have a fleece pouch sling, which is OK - I think I need something which is fairly quick and easy to put on, which I haven't found to be the case with the hug-a-bub!

if you do have the time to post any suggestions, I'd be really grateful.

I have a Hugabub but unlike everyone else I couldn't get the hang of it with a little baby, but loved it once they were older. I used it with DD once she was about 4 mths or so. It's the only sling I've used that doesn't aggravate my back, and it's easy to use and to wash. I still use it now if DD is asleep when I go to pick the DSs up from school (she's 2 on Friday)

thanks Bloss, I appreciate your advice. I will try again with the hug-a-bub - I think I've been rushing it.

Will also look at the Baby Trekker. I used to have a hipseat but I sold it (there seems to be a buying and selling pattern with me and slings!)
