Neutrogena or atrixo are doing nothing for me. My hands are still so sore after work last week and I'm sure they look 10 years older than I actually am. poor hands.

Yes, almondy hand rescue thingy from Body Shop.

It's not called exactly that...

You can get cotton gloves to put on your hands after you've applied it too, that you wear overnight.

I bought some Avon stuff the other day (day, night and hand cream).Never bought Avon in my life but one of the girls from the village does it and I'm new so I did.

Boy was I impressed with all of it.Really nice stuff and cheap to boot.
(Also note that some style guru ha recommended it in last week's Telegraph which amused me.)

Surprised the Neutrogena not working. It's pretty good.Have you tried Body Shop hemp stuff?
Also remember to wear gloves when it's cold, when you're washing up and wear them at night occasionally with lashings of cream.

OK, you're going to think I've lost my head, but the best hand cream I've ever used was ... Boots nipple cream. My dh uses it at the moment, his hands get red raw and sore when they've been in water and the only thing that's giving him any relief is nipple cream.

tabitha · 23/10/2005 21:52

I've got really dry hands and have always found Vaseline Intensive Care good.

moondog · 23/10/2005 21:54

lol WWB
My dh reckoned his hands were at their best when he had a placement on a dairy farm (agr student) and was responsible for creaming the cows' udders after milking.
Shearing is another one apparently. All the lanoline in the fleece keeps hands looking goooooood!

WigWamBam · 23/10/2005 21:56

(And before anyone says it ... yes, he is a bit of a t*t sometimes ... )

moondog · 23/10/2005 21:56

boom boom!!

WigWamBam · 23/10/2005 21:57

Sorry

Joking aside, it really does help.

FrightfullyPoshFloss · 23/10/2005 21:58

Well, actually I have some nipple cream languishing somewhere! Will give that a try! If not, off to body shop, or avon. Was thinking you were going to be all expensive, phew!

Lotil English Weather cream or just Lotil cream -it is excellent and not expensive. You ask for it from the pharmacy counter.

mancmum · 24/10/2005 20:55

sorry not quite as funny as the nipple cream but I use Crabtree and Evelyn hand cream which is fab... it is exfoliating and you wash your hands with it and then rinse it off leaving them very soft and smelling gorgeous... totally recommend it..

Clarins - but costs about £15

wallopyCOD · 24/10/2005 21:01

ditto

Floss, I've been using Aveeno on mine - fab fab fab!

Millie1 · 24/10/2005 21:51

Jurlique Rose or Lavendar is fantastic. Really rich, not greasy and just great. Or, I also found the Origins (heavy duty one) really good. Clarins too. That's about it for me!

wallopyCOD · 24/10/2005 21:52

i find whale blubber to be good

FrightfullyPoshFloss · 24/10/2005 21:54

Erm, how is this? I started this thread last night with raw, dry, scaley itchy hands. I have nipple cream in DS room. I keep looking at hands and lamenting, but have not actually made it as far as DS room to put said cream on hands. I won't be winning any yummy mummy awards this year, will I?
