Need a basic, simple to operate mobilephone for my Mum

My Mum has decided she wants a mobile phone "for emergencies" such as breaking down in the car etc. However she tends to get a little phased by technology (even our very basic cordless home phone).
Is there a very, very basic mobile available out there? TIA

Hornbag,think this is the most basic model available\link{http://shop.vodafone.co.uk/index.cfm?fuseaction=home.viewHandsetDetails&action=getHandsetDetails&contract_type=PAYT&productID=308&itemSKU=PTSA20}

Nokia 6030 £50 at O2.

Nokia 1100 £30 at Virgin including £15 of minutes. Nokias are very simple and this one looks as if pretty much all it does is make phone calls!

Virgin have good rates anyway, esp for calling landlines, and a great PAYG deal where you set up a Direct Debit and you get an itemised bill at PAYG rates every month. When I was using my phone very little my bill was under £2 sometimes and I was able to catch out members of my family "borrowing" it when they had no credit!

littleA's Sagem

pleasure (it's my only talent!)

Thanks littleA and JanH -will look into these in more depth -at least I've got a starting point now!
I still find it odd that there isn't an even more basic one eg. I'm sure my mum isn't the only person who isn't bothered if they can't record their own ringtone or have animated, colour screensavers etc.!!

Why are some random words of my post in colour and have been underlined? or is it only on my screen?
(obviously my mum isn't the only person who has problems with technology )

That's just your screen.

When my mum first got a mobile she was out shopping once when it rang. She had to go into the nearest phone shop to ask them how to answer it!

Now she texts as a primary method of communication.
