Thinking of getting bratz stuff for my twelve year old sister, (she turned 12 in sept), but are they too young for her? What do 12 year olds like?
Cheers!

My 11 year old niece was really into Bratz a couple of years ago but my sister said she's not really into them now. Will watch this thread with interest - hopefully someone more knowledgeable will come along

Hmm.. my oldest dd is 10 and still plays with Bratz with her younger sisters, but wouldn't admit to it outside home! Agree with HT that bath stuff is a hit at this age, and think you can't beat Lush. The online delivery service is great, and there are loads of glittery, girly things to chose from. Other than that the latest books (Jacqueline Wilson's new one is quite 'teen' based I think) DVDs or CDs are a good idea (she can always change it if she's got it!)and combine with a bath bomb from Lush and a bar of chocolate!

Actually, come to think of it, I think a Bratz DVD and CD has just come out. Maybe she would be more into that than the dolls.

The clothing sizes for Bratz clothes are 5-11 so I guess they are aimed at a bit younger. I still played with Barbies (actually Sindy) and that age.

My little sister is 13. I think I bought her an underwater camera when she was 12

My 10yo still loves Bratz, but 12yo wouldn't be seen dead in any of their clothes now.

Also, she won't play with any of the dolls either now....

Thanks everyone, actually the voucher idea is good, she loves to buy clothes!
I don't see her often as we live 250 miles apart, unfortunately we have grown apart and don't know each other that well.
Thanks for all your ideas!

I know what you mean happy1. I was 13 when my sister was born and when she was little I was more interested in going out with my friends, and then I went to away to UNi. After that I had kids of my own. Then my parents moved abroad with my sister.

But I was on holiday visiting them for 5 weeks this year, and my sister and I grew incredibly close. The down side of this being I miss her more than ever

Just posting this to show you that even though you have grown apart, you might grow together again at some point in hte future

I think she is too old for themdoes she enjoy scrapbooking or a nice craft? The papers are so beautiful and they have nice embellishmentsshe might enjoy that sort of a gift. Good luck!
