longer baby sleeping bags

Hi

Any suggestions for longish baby sleeping bags? I don't live near shops so either mail order or I will need to get my mum to buy.

Have just got my 7wk old into a baby sleeping bag and have discovered that the 0-6mth ones from Primark I got will not last her much longer. They are a good fit around shoulders and there is not much room left lenghtwise. She was just under 12lbs and 57.5cm at her 6 week review.

Thanks

I'd just go up a size?

DD has always been long, and was in the 12-18 month once by the time she was 4 months!

The grobag ones are a decent size. The cheaper ones tend to be quite short. I would be wary of getting the next size up as they may be too loose areound the shoulders and arms, and the baby could slip inside.

For a quick fix, and if you are handy with a sewing machine, you could always chop the bottom bit off and sew in a longer panel?

thanks, had been bit wary about going up incase was too big round top. Will look at the grobags. Don't know why I didn't think of the sewing bit, mind you not sure if I could do the zip, would need to call on my auntie's help or alter to poppers.

You can get Prym poppers with a lil snapper device to fit them from hobbycraft or ebay, like
these

You could still use the top section from ones that are outgrown and just add some length in. Esp if its going to be super hot this summer again. I really struggled to find nice light weight ones.

right got it sussed.

I have 2 primark sleeping bags, will got off at the bib section, use material from bottom of one to add lenght to bib and then sew bag on zipped section, adding some extra poppers to new section.

With second bib will add some new material to make lighter tog bag.

Finally have ordered cheap grobag off ebay to try for length.
