Christmas lights - outdoors - how?

Would really love to have some outdoor twinkling lights this year. During our house rennovation we had the electrician fit 3 outdoor sockets especially for this purpose but all the outdoor lights I have seen are fitted with transformers that are too big to fit in the waterproof socket boxes and are designed to be plugged in indoors. We have no opening windows at the front of the house in a suitable location so I'm lost as to how to set up outdoor lights - please help

We feed the wires through the letterbox which is next to the door in our case.

Thanks but we don't have a letter box either (we have one of those on the wall post boxes)

anyone else?

jent my dh loves doing this, he has drilled small holes in the windowframes to feed the wires through.
We have lights on all the front windows, neon and hanging icicles along the guttering. More rope lights and assorted xmas characters along the front and the side of the house, his next project is to do the back of the house.

I have to dodge the wires and extension sockets.{grin]

We drill holes and then fill them with expanding foam. The next year just poke the foam out again
