Feel tempted to get a Pushchair Lambskin
Saw this one on Urchin here
Anyone seen any cheaper ones?
Are they any good?
What about washing? Do they get really grubby?

Thanks

I did find ours really useful - they're warm in winter and keep baby cool in summer, plus they're nice and soft - we took our lambskin when we went to Florida and dd spent a lot of time in the pushchair in the heat.

I didn't find that it got particularly grubby - like a wooly jumper it seemed to not attract dirt so much, plus you can machine wash it anyway on a wool setting and with wool detergent.

I think the urchin one's a bit pricey like just about everything from urchin! Have a look around, they are available cheaper, and it's the sort of thing you can buy used on ebay and it will be just as good as a new one.

Greenbaby do a lambskin footmuff which i got for DD1. its fantastic, has a zipped and weather proof cover and still really soft even though we haven't washed it in 3 years ....

Will be riddled with dustmites within a few weeks unless you wash regularly and then put in freezer for 24 hours every month - and face it - nobody does that.

have you considered a buggy snuggle? They are £50 in john lewis but about £35 on e-bay for the most popular designs.

I just bought one and I'm really pleased with it. I know what you mean about the idea that a lambskin could come to look grubby.

It zips up all the way round and can be used without the top cover. IT also has a pocket in the front, which I put a bib into - it's big enough for a muslin cloth to wipe up accidents.

John Lewis do a sheepy for buggies which is a bit cheaper, plus you can detach the topmost "head" section as your baby gets taller(there's velcro on the back) so s/he still has a comfy seat. They do add a lot of comfort to the buggy.

we've got one, it's very good, easy to wash too (& it was a present so i don't know how much it cost!). i've just bought a buggy snuggle from ebay too (snap mogwai - i went for the cow pattern) to keep dd warm in the winter.

grooooovy hoxton! I have the pawprints

Bagpuss30 · 13/10/2005 10:25

I have paw prints too!

I would have a look in John Lewis for a Bowron lambskin liner. They are about £35. We have one and it has been really good for padding out our three wheeler. Think they may have them online.

Thanks for all your replies
Disappointingly I realised I had a maclaren cosytoe thing in the cupboard. Not sure I can justify a lambskin now
