Preferably with lights and music/sounds.

Can anyone recommend one please?

Thanks :)

Blimey, Boy goes off to sleep the moment the engine is turned on! He's 5 months now.
The nearest thing I have is this caterpillar thingy but he's not strong enough to make it light up himself yet.

FlingonTheValiant · 07/02/2011 17:15

Normally so does DS, but he's recently stopped and now he's a nightmare. So much so that I now avoid driving at all costs, which is getting awkward! I'm hoping something exciting might distract him.

this is the caterpillar thingy. What about something like this mobile or this steering wheel?

ethelina · 07/02/2011 17:20

Or Boy often just chews on his muslin in the buggy, would that entertain him enough?

FlingonTheValiant · 07/02/2011 17:29

Oh very good. I'll have a peek at those.

Sadly non-noise making toys seem to have no hold over him in the car.

Thanks very much!

How about one of the things that is meant to attach to the end of the cot that they can kick at? If you had a fabric one then it wouldn't be a hazard if you crashed (you don't want a heavy plastic thing) - or maybe a fabric book with lots of different textures? They usually come with loops so you can attach it to the handle or straps.

FlingonTheValiant · 07/02/2011 17:32

He's got a fabric book in there already, it's normally fine, but is no longer working. I'll look at a kicking thing though.

What is that kicking thing Bertie? I'm intrigued, don't seem to have come across one of those. Can you link?

FlingonTheValiant · 07/02/2011 17:45

I think a bit like this ethelina here

Yes that's exactly what I was thinking :) DS is a bit past that stage now or I'd have been able to find one probably!

ethelina · 07/02/2011 17:50

Ooohh. How have I never seen one of those? Can it be attached to the seat? Might solve your problems.

Tiny Love make a fantastic range of "on the go" toys for babies. here

I've had several of these over the years, and they are real winners!

earwicga · 07/02/2011 23:07

I attached various rattle type toys, soft books etc. to the seats using elastic.

FlingonTheValiant · 08/02/2011 16:30

The tiny love ones look good too, thanks FPH

earwicga, that's the setup at the moment, but he doesn't like it anymore sadly.

Thanks everyone!
