Oil for wooden kitchen worktops

Hi does anyone know where to buy oil for protecting wooden kitchen worktops? Have tried the likes of B&Q in vain. Don't really want to buy it over the web as the delivery/postage cost is so high. Would really appreciate any ideas/suggestions. Thanks.

danish oil - you can get it from john lewis I know. I'm surprised B&Q don't do it though - most hardware shops do.

We used to use teak oil, like this on wooden block worktops but it depends on which wood it is made of and its finish as to whether it would be suitable for yours. Do you have any hardware stores near by like Robert Dyas or a kitchen showroom where you could ask ?

when we had wooden tops we used linseed oil which can be bought in all sorts of places.

My local woolies does it.

Any DIY shop worth it's stuff will stock it.

We got ours in Ikea. Cheap, lasted ages and did the job brilliantly. Called Behandla or something similar.

Thanks for the ideas everyone. Not near an Ikea unfortunately (although always looking for an excuse to visit . Will keep looking.

I use orange oil cleaner wipes on my oak kitchen cupboard doors, makes them lovely and shiny. Most supermarkets sell it.
