A decent Bubble Machine

Can anyone recommend one? ELC have one and there are loads on eBay. It's for DD's 4th birthday party so I don't want to get one that just makes a pathetic amount of bubbles. I want LOADS! Just wondered if anyone had bought one themselves.

We have a ELC bubble machine and think it is great. I only got it because they used it at toddler group and it does produce a lot of bubbles..well enough to kepp about 40 toddlers happy..lol

My dd(now 2) got the ELC one from an older cousin and its fab. You don't need much of the mixture and when you turn it on it produces loads of bubbles.

We've got a Gazzillion Bubblemaker. Got it in Costco for £9.99 plus vat. Included the machine, a giant bubble bottle and a little bubble bottle. Pumps out loads of the things.

The ELC one is excellent. Absolutely loads of bubbles.

Make sure the loads of bubbles don't make the floor slippy / carpet damp though !

I agree with Whizz, if you are going to have loads of bubbles I might use it in the garden as it will make the floor slippery.

We have the Gazillion one (and all DS1's friends via birthday presents, since Wilko is selling them for £8). The only problem is that it requires 6 x AA batts.

I want a plug in one - I don't do batteries

katymac · 11/10/2005 22:01

Has anyone seen a mains bubble machine....I really need one

smw9927 · 13/10/2005 21:11

The problem with the gazzillion is tha tthe bubble mixture costs £4 to buy on its own - and dd promptly then went and spilt half of it on the floor! It makes great bubbles though...

The bubble mixture seems to be thicker than the normal stuff. Anyone suggest a cheaper alternative that woudl work, or a home made recipe?

I use washing up liquid/water/glycerine

But I'm not sure why.....
