I think I've pretty much made up my mind but would just like to put Lotbags in it and try it out a bit. I can find load of online stockists but can't seem to find somewhere I can pop along to and try out. Does anyone know of a high st retailer for them?

Thomcat · 03/10/2005 11:08

Hi Sorry, not logged on all weekend.
I'm in Pinner, Middlesex.
Big shopping areas near us, London, Watford, Uxbridge, Harrow.
No idea what Lottie weighs, although that's what I dreamt og last night for some mad reason, I dreamt the was 5 stone! Bizarre. I'll try and weigh her at home tonight but as she's not standing it's not that easy to do. Last time I attempted weighing her she looked to be about 2 stone ish.

tc is the firts oen what you are after ? Babyboom also have a store in Dorking, Surrey, so perhaps you could call and see if they have one in stock to try, although that is still quite a long way for you. Otherwise could the manufacturer tell you of a more local stockist ?

Thomcat · 03/10/2005 13:53

Yes, that's the one, the 1st one.

merglemergle · 03/10/2005 15:15

we tried one out at daisy & tom's
.

didn't like it cos of fixed wheel.

think 2leftfeet might also do them.

we actually got ours over the internet though.

merglemergle · 03/10/2005 15:16

we went to daisy + tom's in kensington but they also exist elsewhere.

merglemergle · 03/10/2005 15:18

we decided against the nipper though as no swivel wheel. v hard to steer. and now i shall stop posting.

ThomBat · 03/10/2005 15:26

Noooo, don't stop posting! What did you go for merglemergle?

Just as I thought i'd made my mind up!

there really is a gap in the market for a double buggy that will comfortable hold a newborn and an older child sn child - i don't think manufactors think people with sn child ever have anoher rant over

ThomBat · 03/10/2005 15:45

No we'll check out the p;lace Hunker found for us on Saturday. I just wanted to know where to start and the instep nipper was reccomended on the SN board and I liked the lookof it, plus it's very light, so thought I'd start there. Wanted to find a stockist so I could try before I buy anything.
Wjat Jane one did you go for> Not the ppowertrack was it? I heard that there's no leg room with that one and it looks that way from the pics, like that front wheel gets right in the way of their little legs and the nipper didn't look like that.
ohhhhhhhhhhhh it's SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO hard.

best of luck with it all - it's one of the things silly as it soubd putting me off having no.2 - do let us know how you get on

Gem13 · 03/10/2005 15:47

Thomcat - have a single Nipper which I love.

Houseswapped last year and used their double Nipper for our 2 yr old and 6 month old and didn't like it all. The children sloped towards the middle and there wasn't any head height for (tall) DS if he fell asleep and we wanted to recline his seat.

Double Mountain Buggy every time for me. Bought a second hand one and a new cot for one side for DD. Fab buggy. Always on sale on eBay and in local free papers.

Bought this after selling on much disliked E3 BTW. Very heavy and killed my shoulders.

same as that Bethron. I'll have a non walking, not standing 4 yr old and a new born in it. Not easy is it. ohhhh and just as I thought I'd made up my mind, which I know without seeing them and trying them is mad anyway. i just wanted to work out which one I liked the look and sound of and that, until now, was the instep nipper. right well I'll waste no more time thinking until i'm there with them. Thanks all, TC x
