I'm told there are such things - where do I get one?

i've got the huggababy sling (ring on one side) and have breastfed whilst on a forest walk. its really good for when they are tiny, but it can get quite tight once they get bigger .... DD2 still loves sleeping in it though at 11 weeks & almost 6kgs ...

i have a moby which you can tie a certain eay to feed a baby in, and also a ring sling, but dd3 is getting too big to feed in it now. she loves a hip carry in it tho.

You can buy online from Born:

There are some good links on the AP forum of Hunnybeez. I've made a few ring slings and I like them (obviously!). I can BF my 6 month old DD in them.

The Born site says you need to support a newborn with one hand in a Huggababy - ? Can't work out if I should get that or a Moby. We already have a BabyBjorn - I'm just looking for something that might allow me to see to DD1 (20m) while feeding DD2 (2 weeks).

You can get a harness for a newborn in the huggababy. I've not used it with a harness myself. I found once you get the hang of it, you can go hands free for periods, but for safety's sake it is preferable to keep one hand hovering around.

I don't know what Moby is but I loved my Huggababy

I still have a hand free for support when DD is in a pouch. Ring slings work better for me as then I can adjust it exactly how I need. I can BF DD in a ring sling and have done so "on the go" occasionally (bus, fun fair day at our local football club) but it was easier in summer as I could get my belly covered up with layers of clothing, e.g. T-shirt and shirt, T-short up but shirt still covering. I wouldn't do it now I wear jumpers as I'd need to lift the whole jumper up. As my DS is 6 I can BF DD and keep an eye on him as he doesn't need my immediate involvement that much any more. Must be more difficult with another young one, though. I've rambled a bit, sorry.
