Do you think this conservatory quote is reasonable?

For a 5m x 3m lean to style conservatory. Have to have 2 brick walls side as mid terraced. Dwarf wall to the front and patio doors at end. Also having a window taken out and filled in, walls rendered. All brickwork plastered, foundations dug, floor joisted and boarded out to level as our kitchen (as it will attached to the kitchen).

In total 10k. Good or not? Thanks

we have a similar size lean-to, I think it's 3m squared though. Bought ours from Wicks. It has a dwarf all round with about 4 opening windows & then french doors to the side. Nothing bricked in. Cost 6k more or less.

Any good ?

We wished we'd had the patio done at the same time, I think that's now costing an extra £700 + slabs.

I would say it was reasonable, but we haven't had the quote for ours yet..

should be about the same size, we already have 2 walls and floor, but need a little (about 2' high) wall around the rest, patio doors at one end...if they quote us £10,000, I'll be delighted!(Would be having the frame made out of wood, though, don't know if that makes a difference).

my friend had a similar size upvc conservatory with all work/labour included and it was 16k HTH

Hi Blossomhill. I'm pretty sure we had a guy recommended from Wickes who built the conservatory itself & I think he recommended a couple of builders, one who mainly did the groundwork & the other a bricklayer. They were paid separately & the total was approx £6k.

At our old house we had a longer but less deep conservatory built. This cost about £10k because DH sourced bricks that matched the house as we had a complete wall built on the left. Waste of money having EXACTLY the same bricks, IMHO. We had a sofa against that wall & so you couldn't really see the join.

We had a traditional conservatory built (not lean too), exactly the same size as yours, dwarf walls all the way round, window replaced with double door and double door onto patio. Including everything £14,000. in Hertfordshire.
