Diptitch? Beds

Diptitch, Deptitch, Depitch? We bought one about 6-7 years ago from a shop that has now closed down. It needs fixing as my son has jumped up and down on it and the corner of the metal frame has come apart. Also, the base is not that good so wouldn't mind replacing but keeping the brass ends. If no-one knows of the particular company, any advice or info on getting a new base part? Thanks.

I didn't see that thread but I should have as I bet I could out do any jumping-on-the-bed stories!! What he has done is stand on the top of the brass bed end and plunge down, full weight, many times, even though we've stopped him a lot. He also went through a phase of getting on the mantlepiece in his room and flying, full weight, onto his own bed, 3 beds later..... I should say that he's autistic and very physical but he also just enjoys doing it and seeing our faces! I keep falling through the base, don't know how we had a baby 5 mos ago, no comment so its got to be sorted out!

I can't really picture how the bed has broken, but if it is a metal against metal part, is it possible to dismantle the bed and take it to a welder? Or make/buy a metal bracket and join the broken parts together?
