DD (3) desperately wanted these but we have no idea what to do with them ,other than plait them. I don't really want to buy a book as I know next week she'sll be fed up & she can't master the plaiting never mind anything else.
Anyone seen any ideas online, simpler the better that they could post links to?
Or a 7 year old who would like to come round & make lots of little models for her amusement
TIA

try
this website

Jbck, you'll end up doing them for her! I lost half an hour out of my morning today because dd1 (7) wanted me to do her one to to take to school. Have you got a shop called The Natural World near you? They showed me what to do, after about a week of trying to follow the instructions on the back of the pack!

I love doing scoubies, DD age 5 has mastered the spirals and flat ones and DS is a dab hand at the square ones, I was making them at work and everyone wanted scoubie necklaces and radio tags, I even had a request for a scoubie crown of thorns. DD has a bout 10 hanging of her bag with feathers, beads and allsorts.

Now I do scoubie workshops for the other mums has there DD's have seen them and want one too. Our pound shop has them for 50p (?) so I have a large crate of them now.

We've bought both books from Woolworths and I still can't do the basic knot. I even missed Corrie tonight trying to master it!!

I tried the website below before I posted, should have mentioned but I couldn't make head nor tail of their instructions. I'm quite crafty normally but it was like double dutch. If any MN's can follow their instructions for a bracelet & post a photo I'll eat my daughter's beautiful Scoubi belt which I plaited earlier.

I have made ones like the first one and could make the round one too, sorry but i find it esy its just like maccrami (spell?). I was one of those people who made hundreds of freindship bracelets with initials through them and everything.

The boondoogel web site has the best phot instructions i have seen. I got a book but couldn't follow the pics i ended up looking at second last pic and working it out.

Have a had a look and am going to try it today before she comes home from school. Thanks.

Get a hold of an 8 year old girl to show you. The diagrams don't make much sense.

Look at my scoobies

crazydazy · 16/09/2005 09:35

Ooops just posted on wrong thread

Skribble after looking at those Scoobies I know that my DD would happily adopt you as her Mum without a backward glance as she thinks I am pretty hopeless when it comes to Scoobies!!!
