ebay mostly!
Boden/Monsoon for dd mostly due to fit (she is very skinny)
TK Maxx
I also adore second hand shops for the odd little super duper quality bargain!

Tesco, Asda, Primark if it will fit her bum, Adams...

Next if I have spare pennies, but that don't happen often!

EvesBigFatMama · 09/09/2005 09:09

next/h&m/mothercare(but metrocentre on as ours is crap!)/zara/moda..occasionally m&s

LadyTophamHatt · 09/09/2005 09:10

Same place I get mine, Adsa and twice yearly in the Next sale.

SPARKLER1 · 09/09/2005 09:11

Tesco and Asda mostly. Also Be-Wise and Peacocks. Don't like to spend a lot on their stuff as it can get stained so easily.

laughinglil · 09/09/2005 09:14

Next, Debenhams,Hennes,Occasionally asda/tesco. Monsoon and a little shop around the corner from me that sells designer clothes (on special occasions,in the sale, or if I really really really like them!)

laughinglil · 09/09/2005 09:15

forgot about Zara and mothercare too!

zippitippitoes · 09/09/2005 09:16

Where's loulabelle when you want her?

Woolies have some nice bits if you look hard

I think the prices in monsoon are shocking.

Gap and next in the sales

SPARKLER1 · 09/09/2005 09:17

DD2 just gets DD1's hand me downs. Poor little soul.

TwinSetAndPearls · 09/09/2005 09:18

ebay and TK Maxx.

Distel · 09/09/2005 09:18

Mostly George at ASDA.

loulabelle222 · 09/09/2005 09:20

I am on here but I don't bother to say anything now..just get abuse thrown at me. So I just listen

triceratops · 09/09/2005 09:21

asda and H&M and vertbaudet.

triceratops · 09/09/2005 09:22

Do you do the designer stuff then loulabelle? Somebody has to otherwise how would all those shops stay open?

loulabelle222 · 09/09/2005 09:26

yep I do tbh don't see what is wrong with it

lucykate · 09/09/2005 09:27

i do like the kids clothes at boden, but can't afford £16 for a t-shirt that will only get splattered in paint at nursery! they grow out of things to quick to keep stuff for 'best'.

Does anybody have to buy clothes for a 9 year old boy? I can't find anything decent for my ds1. He doesn't like football and he is not a skate boarder, and I don't want to dress him in knickerbockers, just decent ordianry boys' clothing. Also, not in dull navy blue, brown, grey or black either. Why can't a nine year old wear red, green, sky blue or yellow?

BTW, I mainly get given clothes for my kids by my mum or MIL or else I buy second hand, but you can't buy much second hand for a nine year old now and dd is quite fashion conscious so I also shop in John Lewis (uniform), M&S, Adams, Tesco, Asda, anywhere I see really. Next only in sales. Monsoon - never, not even in sales: I could pay my mortgage on the prices Monsoon charge.

LilacLotus · 09/09/2005 09:37

h&m, tesco, asda, next.

triceratops · 09/09/2005 09:39

Loulabelle I have to admit that ds does look fantastic in the designer gear that he has been given as presents. It is your money and you can spend it how you like .

Personally though if anyone is going to get designer clothes in my house it is going to be me and not someone whose idea of fun is digging for worms.

fairydust · 09/09/2005 09:42

NEXT - GAP - MONSOON - M&S mainly

spidermama · 09/09/2005 09:51

Ebay, because it's the only way I can indulge my passion for gorgeous clothes from the likes of Toff Togs, Oilily, Boden, Balu & Miniman.

puff · 09/09/2005 09:55

Anywhere that sells tumble dryable clothes.

laughinglil · 09/09/2005 10:34

I put a balu and miniman outfit up on ebay last night. miniman is brand new and balu only worn once! shame because its truly stunning! they are really different kind of clothes don't you think?

compo · 09/09/2005 10:35

George at Asda, Next, charity shops and Mumsnet
