She's three later in the month and I'm thinking of getting her one. She has got the ELC little people house but am hoping to move on from that to something with furniture etc. TIA

GeraldGiraffe · 08/09/2005 14:12

I got one from ebay which was ace, and really cheap (it was new). I'll try and find the link as there were a lot of them for sale.

GeraldGiraffe · 08/09/2005 14:13

loads here, some new

scotlou · 08/09/2005 14:31

I got a good one for dd (now 3)last Christmas - I'll try and find link cos they were really helpful here you go The guy there - Roger - recommended the cheaper wooden furniture as it is very sturdy. We close the Victorian dolls house - easy to construct. Kids like it - althouh my ds (5 1/2) plays with it more than his sister at present!

Try a woodern one from ELC really solid and easy to set up. DD had one for her 3rd b'day and is now 6 and still plays with it.

Kaloo20 · 09/09/2005 14:24

I havea fully loaded ELC one that I'm about to put on Ebay - can photograph it and send you details if you want first dibs on it. Immaculate - has spend 2.5 years sitting in our playroom on a low chest - used for a maximum total of 1 hour (honestly). Clearly I produced a Tom Boy and not a girly girl !

scotlou · 12/09/2005 16:22

Puddle - it's the big Plan Victorian one we've got. It is very solid (bits do break when the children fall over on top of it - but glue back really easily with wood glue!) I put it together myself while watching TV - so quite easy! Big enough for 2 kids to play with it at once. Cos it's plain wood it "fits in " with adult decor - ours has been sitting in our living room since last Christmas. Also, becasue it has a proper front / sides you can close it all down at night so it looks more like a piece of furniture than a kids toy.
I got it as I reckoned it would last - the 3 year old plays with it less than her brother, but I reckon she will grow into it.

puddle · 12/09/2005 16:25

Sweet Enid! But rather, erm bright?

She'd love it I know but it makes my eyes go funny.

Enid · 12/09/2005 16:26

i know actually its vile

and in fact she hasnt got that one, hers is white and quite plain but they have discontinued it and thats the nearest one to it.

basically it opens at the front and you can shut it and both dds really love that

puddle · 12/09/2005 16:27

Scotlou it's that one that I've been thinking about. It's on offer in a shop near us and looks like just the one I'd have liked when I was little. DP thinks we shopuld get a more open one so she and ds can play on either side but I want something that closes up too.
