Quality Wooden Doll's House for 7 year old

Can anyone recommend a nice dollhouse? I am thinking something she would keep and pass down and not a plastic piece of junk. DD is 7. DH like the Pintoy Malrborough one at John Lewis, but I want to research the options and make sure it is the best / most appropriate.

I don't want to spend a fortune. But somewhere around £100 - £150 is okay.

I am a complete doll's house novice (never had one, hate the idea of getting one, but I am being agreeable).

DD is younger than your DD (she is 4) but we have the ELC one and it is very solid. Not necessarily an heirloom piece, but definitely popular in this house (and popular with her 6 and 8 year old brothers too!)

Dollshouse Emporium do lovely ones you can get lights for and decorate. Also Lundby Dolls Houses are nice for older children (plastic but collectable).

We have the Marlborough one from John Lewis - I love it although DD 6yrs rarely plays with it Hmm - she's just not into doll's houses!

Very well made with lovely furniture, definitely a future heirloom Smile
