Noooooooooo that would be even worse than knitted crinoline dolly loo roll covers. (PS I put mine in spare baby wipes boxes... so I do share your distaste for sanitary towel packaging).

I keep tampons in baskets with lids from Ikea (another great buy).
Lakeland need to make a flour scoop, preferably stainless steel. And a good selection of metal pastry cutters.

I read somewhere that you're not supposed to keep them in the bathroom 'cause they can get all damp with the humidity. I keep mine in a bedroom drawer and take them in as I need them.

naughtynaughtynoonoo · 27/08/2005 20:11

louise thats ok if your bathroom is upstairs. our bathroom is downstairs at the other end of the kitchen so quite a trek if you realise you need one lol

Get a mooncup .

Lakeland should make toilet roll holders that shout "Hey! Change me! Don't just walk away and wait for someone else to do it!" when the existing roll runs out. And magic "dirt-be-gone" spray that cleans floors all on its own.

keep mine in bedroom too. Dh thought they were in bathroom, so when dds asked what was in the box, he explained about periods to them (it was a box of face wipes)

PMSL Greenbean!

Pruni, love your description of said invention - would fit right into their catalogue!

Cod - clear bin bags? Why are they good?

Bugger,I missed that!
My absolute favourite is the one for those panic buttons on a cord.
'Mrs Jones knows help is coming' complete with picture of genteel grey haired lady in a dignified pose at the bottom of her stairs, not a hair out of place, skirt modestly gathered around the shins.

Like this is how an 85 year old would look after going arse over tit down two flights of stairs........!

Similaly those game old birds who take baths and showers in extra support swimwear.

Bit off-topic, but you know those baths that have a door in the side of them so you can walk in? Do many old people die of hypothermia waiting for the water to drain out so they can get out again? Or do they just flood the place? Or am I so thick I can't even work out how a be-doored bath would work in the draining department? Have I thought about this too much? Hoh yesh!
