Have been looking for super lightweight buggy for newborn + dd who is 21 months. Marco sky tandem looks good but wondered if anyone out there has one and can advise? Or could anyone recommend another good product?

I love it I love it I love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Have been using mine for about 6 months. Lots of space for the DTs. They are 18m.

Really recommend it, but not lightest buggy out there, but very practical and gets into everywhere.

hi
i bought one from a mner for my ds who is 22 mths and the new baby..who is due in dec. I havent used it as such apart from around the house but i must admit it is a lovely buggy and i am very impressed. I cant wait to take it out. Ds loves it and there is plenty of room in both the chairs.

wow.... ive never seen that one before!

did u realise that its not suitable until baby is 2 months?

Could you try borrowing a heavier toddler and pushing it with your current one in there too to see how easy it is to push when your baby stops being tiny?

I find most double buggies a night mare to push.... tandems just 'dont steer' (not with respect to this one, ive never tried it) and normal doubles are hard to push and 3 wheel doubles simple dont fit through too many doors to be practicle to push anywhere other than parks!

My fav double is the Phil and teds, 3 wheeler 'tandem style' but can be a single as well, and suitable from birth, and is only the size of a normal single 3 wheeler...

have to say its not eacatly light for getting in and out of the car either.... but at least it is possible to PUSH AND get THROUGH DOORS, and i think that is a VERY rare feature of double bugguies nowadays, and i think BOTH of those features are pretty much essential!

we've got the Phil+teds E3, it's great

It's light(er than the marco), it's folds no bigger than a standard three wheeler, it's easy to push one handed but it is bloody expensive

you must be some kinda wuss frogspawn. I push it every day up and down hills.

It isn't like normal tandems, cos it is built like a single umbrella buggy

Thanks everyone. Will hopefully have newborn in sling for a few months - out of way of marauding toddler. So not a problem that it's only from 2 months+, but interesting it's maybe not as light as I thought.

Can't afford Bill/Teds though it looks excellent.

Going to wait until last minute anyway as dd is suddenly super independent!

oops that should be Phil & Teds (getting confused with 'Excellent Adventure'! - though this pregnancy is frankly a bit of a drag!)
