Absolutely worth it, IMO.

One of the few baby items that you can start using around 3-4 months and they might still like at a year. We had the Lindam deluxe one and it's been used by 2 other babies too and still looks in great nick.

DelGirl · 22/08/2005 13:55

thanks tassis, thats the one i'm looking at. Well I know it's a lindam one, not sure it's deluxe though.

Always lots on ebay - much cheaper than £30 new.

sweetheart · 22/08/2005 13:58

We had a Lindam one too and it was worth every penny.

DD loved it and we have leant it to other people too. Now it's safe in the nursery for the bump to use. Still in brilliant condition!!

LIZS · 22/08/2005 13:59

We had the Tippitoes and both dd and ds loved it.

DelGirl · 22/08/2005 14:04

we had the Lindam one and dd loved it so much. Definitely worth it.

tassis · 22/08/2005 15:02

yeah, that seems to be the one we had.

hope she likes it.

sweetkitty · 22/08/2005 15:02

another vote for the Lindam one, DD never got the hang of hers until about 6 months then she loved it, I've just put it in the cupboard since she's started walking, it's great you know where they are I used to put DD in hers and hoover around about her, great for when you need to get things done.

Charlee · 22/08/2005 15:06

Please make sure you doors are the corrct width, ours arnet and we brought one for ds and the first thing he did was launch himself into the door frame head first luckily he was ok!

MarsLady · 22/08/2005 15:07

I used the tippitoes for all 5 of mine. Have finally put it away for good!

DelGirl · 22/08/2005 16:09

thankfully I've got very wide doors, (for wheelchair access I assume) so hopefully that shouldn't be a problem.

Springchicken · 22/08/2005 16:20

Arrrgggg

QueenOfQuotes · 22/08/2005 16:26

Had an ancient one with DS1 and he LOVED it.

Bought a Lindham one 2nd hand for DS2 and he hated it.

Would I buy another one if I ever get a 3rd baby???

Yes.

BunnyBoo · 22/08/2005 16:29

Delgirl - I have just won the one you are looking at in argos on ebay for £11.13 like brand new, have a look on there, there were a few.

Well, i've bought the lindam one.

But......the instructions say that there should be no movement of the clamp thing if you pull the strap. But, the clamp bit doesn't actually lay flat against the wall and it does move a little. Does that make sense? Is anyone elses like this? I mean, a door is a door is a door, isn't it?

OP posts:
BunnyBoo · 24/08/2005 19:32

Delgirl - Are you talking about the clamps which go either side at the top of the door?

If so..

Mine does not move at all and is totally flat against the wall on each side.....

DelGirl · 24/08/2005 20:10

yeas, thats it . looks like I may not be able to use it then, bu&&er
